• A little bit about the role...

  • As Senior Construction Planner, you will be the strategic engine behind our residential developments, transforming complex technical drawings into high-performance build sequences. This is a "cradle-to-grave" role where you will bridge the gap between initial land acquisition and site delivery—ensuring our schemes are realistic, profitable, and de-risked long before a spade hits the ground.

Your mission is to translate high-level forecasting into site-level reality. Acting as our internal Asta Powerproject expert, you will deconstruct site plans to unlock the critical path and identify key procurement milestones. By working intimately with Construction Directors, you will turn master schedules into granular, week-by-week Target Programmes, automating subcontractor schedules and conducting site audits to ensure our methodology remains industry-leading.

The successful candidate will be responsible for but not limited to the following:
Working across the entire project lifecycle, your core focus will be split between High-Level Pre-Construction Strategy and Granular Site Delivery.

    Strategic Pre-Construction
    •  Master Programming: Create high-level master programmes, integrating data from Land, Technical, and Commercial teams to ensure day-one feasibility.
    • Buildability & Sequencing: Deconstruct technical drawings to identify procurement milestones and provide expert advice on project profitability and risk.
    •  Internal Liaison: Act as the point of contact for all in-house departments and external consultants to ensure the smooth enabling of new schemes.
    Construction Planning & Delivery
    • Site Execution: Refine master programmes into workable site plans and granular, week-by-week Target Programmes for our delivery teams.
    • Logistics & Subcontractors: Maintain Asta-linked logistics schedules and manage automated subcontractor progress tracking for seamless trade coordination.
    • Performance & Recovery: Monitor progress against baselines, implementing "get-well" plans and verifying site accuracy through regular field visits.
    • Technical Leadership: Serve as the internal Subject Matter Expert for Asta Powerproject, mentoring the team on complex, multi-phased site plans.
  • What we'd like in return...

    • Proven Expertise: You bring 5–10 years of experience in a similar planning role within the residential sector. You have a deep-rooted understanding of construction methodologies and current building standards.
    • Asta Powerproject Mastery: You are an expert-level user, capable of creating, adapting, and managing complex, multi-phased site plans from a blank page.
    • Technical Rigor: You possess expert-level Excel skills, which you use to automate scheduling, streamline reporting, and drive precise progress tracking.
    • Strategic Foresight: You have a "pre-construction mindset," with the ability to identify high-risk project constraints early and proactively design robust contingency strategies to protect the project’s critical path.
    • Analytical Mindset: You are comfortable deconstructing technical drawings and possess the commercial acumen to ensure that every programme is as profitable as it is buildable.
