Architectural Technician

A little bit about the role...
Weston Homes is pleased to offer an exciting opportunity for a talented and motivated Architectural Technician to become part of our dynamic team, based at our headquarters in Takeley. This role requires someone with a keen eye for detail, excellent coordination abilities, and a solid understanding of residential construction and design standards

The successful candidate will be responsible for but not limited to the following:
- Effective coordinated full working drawings of (often complex) schemes
- Comprehensive coordination of drawing amendments following prelim or addendum
- Collate and submit required information to clear Warranty and Building Control conditions to help secure statutory approvals
- Effective receipt and resolution of site queries
- Receipt and timely management of addendums
- Source all necessary information from external consultants for inclusion on working drawings
- Checking of sales brochures
- Effective contribution to design meetings as required
- Checking subcontractor information for accuracy and completeness.
What we'd like in return...
- HNC (L5) in Construction (or equivalent)
- Proficient use of AutoCAD
- Up to date knowledge and effective application of UK building regulations
- Breadth of knowledge in construction methods/techniques and depth in traditional methods
- Effective understanding and application of relevant design standards. Ie. Building warranties, regulations and party wall etc.
- Demonstrates strong planning and organising skills to manage tasks effectively and meet deadlines.
- Works collaboratively within a team, contributing to a positive and productive teamwork environment.
