Ensure the technical team are fully briefed and understand the design programme & deliverables

Monitor the project delivery against Key Dates and raise in good time when deadlines may be in jeopardy.

Monitor the performance of team members and raise any areas of concern and/or underperformance with the Head of Technical.

Take the technical lead on projects with the assistance and support of the Head of Technical.

Identify the necessary disciplines required and prepare a tender list for each project.

Ensure tender returns are received prior to setting budgets with the Head of Technical

Ensure all consultants are suitably appointed in good time with the assistance and support of the Head of Technical.

Manage consultants & monitor their performance raising any areas of underperformance with the Head of Technical or Technical Director.

Manage & maintain relationships with consultants to best facilitate ‘a good working relationship’.

Management of pre-lim meeting process, including but not limited to pack distribution, comment receipt/compilation, mark-up drawings, meeting attendance and minute distribution.

Compilation and distribution of contractual document drawings

Coordinate the effective amendment of drawings following pre-lim or addendum

Prepare & maintain Technical Reports on a monthly basis on each project.

Technical reports to include a commentary on progress with planning, building control, building warranty, EWS1, Addendums, Sub-Contractor Design, Risks & Opportunities and all other relevant project details.

Ensure the approval of key subcontractor designs are in good time by managing & monitoring the team and the Subcontractor Design Trackers.

Manage & monitor the Addendum process on a daily basis.

Ensure all appropriate approvals are secured

Actively track and report on all Building Control & Building Warranty approvals.

Building Warranty. Ensure projects are registered before works commence on site & technical approvals are cleared in good time well in advance of 1st handovers.

EWS1. Ensure the inspection body are provided with all relevant information for an initial assessment to be carried out. Inspectors to be provided with all technical information to ensure certificates can be issued before the commencement of handovers.

Proactive liaison and support of internal departments and sites

Undertake early engagement with the Planning Team to facilitate a phased Planning & Technical Handover.

Encourage and support the technical team to engage with all other departments (in addition to Planning).

Effective management and development of all direct report employees aligned with organisational strategy, culture, values and hr practices

Continuous improvement of practices, procedures and record keeping

Manage & monitor the External Wall records are maintained for all new developments.
